It would seem almost impossible that a 3.0-liter, inline six-cylinder engine, utilizing the factory Toyota block,
could produce a five-second, 245+ mph quarter-mile performance no matter how much boost it was forcefed, but that’s exactly what the EKanoo Racing team were able to accomplish during a private test session
with their Pro Import Toyota GT86. With Gary White at the controls and a tuning super-team consisting of
Eric Luzinski, Shane Tecklenburg and Josh Ledford, the world’s fastest import posted up a 5.897-second,
245.14mph blast in the heat of the day, providing team owner Ebrahim Mohammed Kanoo, one of Bahrain’s
leading entrepreneurs in the automotive aftermarket, more than enough confidence to send the team
to Michigan for the PDRA Summer Drags to enter the Pro Boost eliminator. “I wanted to achieve a good
number, and thank God we achieved a fair number in our third pass on American soil,” says Kanoo.
