My Spine Explained Stretches Lie flat on your back. Proceed to bring your knee up to your chest. Once the knee is as high as it can go on its own, use your hands to bring it up further as far as your body allows without pain. Try and keep your other leg straight. Hold this stretch for 30 seconds and repeat twice. Do the same with the other leg. Lie flat on your back. Proceed to bend both knees up to 90 degrees.
