The Time Is Now and
The Place Is here
T
ime and place; you are in
the right place at the right
time. The time is now; the
place is here! You cannot be free
in the future. You can only be free
now. How much time would you
save if you no longer spent time
imagining a different fork in the
road in your past? How many
times have you said, “if I would
have only __________.” Hindsight
is wasteful and useless. There
is no useful purpose for beating
yourself up over stuff that can’t
be changed.
How much energy do you spend
worrying about things that are
never going to happen? How
many times have you stressed
out over a future event only to
find that something completely
out of your awareness changed
everything? We can never be
completely sure of the future,
so there is no point in worrying
about it. Doing what we can
right now in the moment is
what counts. That is where your
energy needs to be spent.
Let go of any anger or
resentment that keeps you mired
in the past, for the past is over.
Let go of any empty wishes of
fears about what might or might
not happen someday, because
someday is not a real place.
Now is the time that is real and
the time is yours, and with it,
you can do whatever you choose.
Now is when you have immense
power over the direction of your
life, so use that power wisely and
joyfully. To do that, you must get
rid of your past; concentrate on

the present the NOW!! Live in the
now - the today; not yesterday,
not tomorrow - TODAY!! The
present time (today), is all you
have as your “guaranteed time.”
There are two days in every
week about which we should
not worry about; two days
which should be kept free from
apprehension; “yesterday” with
its mistakes and cares, its aches
and pains, its faults and blunders.
Yesterday has passed forever
beyond our control. All the
money in the world cannot bring
back yesterday. We cannot undo
a single act we performed; we
cannot erase a single word we
spoke yesterday.
The other day we should not
worry about is “tomorrow”
with its possible adversities,
its burdens. Tomorrow is
beyond our control. We
have no stake in tomorrow,
for it is unborn. That only
leaves one important day,
‘TODAY”!! Anyone can fight
the battles of just one day.
It is only when we add
the burdens of yesterday
and tomorrow that we break
down. It is not the experiences
of today that drives us mad; it
is the remorse or bitterness for
something which happened
yesterday, or the dread of
what tomorrow will
bring.
Let us journey
one day at a
time. Stop
borrowing
the troubles
6
from tomorrow and stop
wallowing in yesterday’s
sorrows!! Live one day at a time,
because tomorrow only exists
when it becomes today! “TODAY
IS THE TOMORROW YOU
WORRIED ABOUT YESTERDAY!!”
