older together through our married years one of the most crucial ways to remain close is to keep having those dreams. This means our life together stays fresh, close and full of hope. Our marriages are never too old to dream a new dream together. Some dreams must have been part of our Heavenly Father’s plan. We did get to fulfil our desire to home school our three sons and travel Australia in a caravan for almost two years during a period of their schooling. That dream coming to fruition was a beautiful gift. After all these years of marriage, our dreams may not be as energetic or adventurous as they once were. Nowadays, we dream about our future life together as grown-up sons leave home, where we plan to move as we downsize our clutter and we are always dreaming about travelling this amazing country (in a caravan that doesn’t have three single bunk beds!) I wonder if you dare to dream together? Do you dream big? Where could you be more hopeful? Admittedly, not every daring dream we have will come to pass, but it sure is a wonderful way to draw close to each other by considering what could be. Offer all your plans to the One who always gives us what we need and what is best. Wait patiently. Be encouraged. Who knows what God just may choose to do with your dreams? Jennifer lives on the Darling Downs, Queensland, Australia with her family. She enjoys encouraging others on the Christian journey through writing and mentoring. DOZ Magazine May 2018 17 «
