ary Kay Ash was the founder of
Mary Kay Inc., the makers of
Mary Kay Cosmetics and it is a
billion-dollar corporation. She
began this company in 1963, and
it was founded on the golden rule
of doing unto others as you would have them
do unto you. She was a woman who vowed
that no one working in her organisation would
ever be subjected to unfair treatment.Prior
to starting her own company, Mary Kay Ash
was a single mother and had been passed up
for a promotion. A man who had been hired
to assist her in her job was promoted in her
place. It was a very horrible experience for
her, but it was also a defining moment. She
left the company and started hers. She wanted
a company that was run properly, and she
thought; instead of writing a book about how
a good company should be run, wouldn’t it be
great if someone ran one? Well, she decided
to be that someone and Mary Kay Cosmetics
was born.
