Carrie has achieved
an awful lot with
her business in a
relatively short period
of time. Carrie’s love
of fashion came to
the fore at the age of
6 when she sent in a
design for a wedding
dress for Prince
Charles and Lady Diana’s
’
wedding. As a married mum
of three, Carrie launched
herself back into the world
of fashion as a designer of
a variety of fascinators and
headwear.
She is truly a one woman
inspiration, as she has built
a successful business from
scratch, designing and
making the fascinators
and hats, while managing
all other elements of her
business.

When did you establish your
millinery business?
The business started officially
in October 2012, up until then
it was really just a hobby. In
February of 2013, I left my job
of 10 years to pursue designing
millinery full time.
Where do you find inspiration
for your designs?
Everywhere! All my designs
are very different, sometimes
an idea will just pop into my
head or I’ll be inspired by
something I see. I carry around
a small notebook, which
I’m constantly scribbling in.
