halke Valley Cheese was born during the cold
winter of 2011. After months of searching for
the right place, the creamery was established on the
Cranborne Estate in February 2012. The equipment
includes antique cheese presses and their pride and
joy, a custom made cheese vat. They produced their
first batch of soft cheese on April Fools Day –
definitely not a bad omen as their many awards prove.
