What would you say has been the best or most memorable moment in your career so far?
As an artist putting together 2008's album Idiosyncrasy, with it's concepts delivery and music selection caused a stir within the Hip Hop & Rap industry. I believe the effects of that album and then the follow up compilation project "The Gospel" (un-released) brought many issues to light that was being glossed over by people cause "It's all about the money" and not the creativity of that art! Short answer: "CHANGING THE GAME" to the point even major artist conduct themselves like #indie500
What are you working on currently, and what are some of your upcoming projects?
Currently I have a new Album in the works to follow up "IDIOSYNCRASY" it will be called "SYNCHRONISTIY" it has taken this long between projects for me since I also do artist development for my label LMT RECORDS. Plus I wanted the world to catch up to all that I themed in detail on what was to come. So this next project has to be concise and to the point cause a lot of "LIFE IMITATING ART or ART IMITATES LIFE" brings forward a lot that is hidden "AMENET" will be the mixtape! "I wish I could give you a tentative date, but it's like painting a masterpiece, sculpting an inspiring statue out of marble and being able to hear what others can't or see what others don't! What's 5 things your fans don't know about you?
1. I'm left handed 2. Discovered "Da YoungFellaz" in a barbershop 3. Tattoos on my back and chest 4. I sung in my youth choir 5. Made Pharoahe Monch stand on his seat in Electric Lady studio's after I played him some beats!
What makes you more unique than other artists?
I would have to say most artists look for co-signs and strong affiliations to rise within the music business! For me "It's Personal, Not Just Business Man" at the end of the day. I comprehend lending your clout to get more eyes on your brand. Simply is not my end goal, I fell into a pool of fame! I was born into a family that has a unique history within "America" close ties to Booker T. Washington and the black culture that was born out of the 1800's! Many still to this day debate "The educated negro vs. the skilled negro" That young man who's brain got sparked like Tupac Shakur said "I AM" him!
What's one trait about yourself that you don't like?
Sometimes my patience can conflict with my timing!
Who's someone you would like to work with in the industry, and why?
I would like to work with the "Piano Man" aka Billy Joel. Here's why cause he wrote "We didn't Start the Fire" enough said!
