So it's the month of love, and we here at Dope Souf wanted to show love where we from. Good old NC. There are lot of good things that came from NC. However, when you compare us to the rest of the world, we're probably the most slept on state in the hip hop scene. Why? Well we decided to try to find out ourselves and we ended with 3 three reasons. We personally asked people from area's such as NY, GA, VA, TX, and LA how they felt about what they have seen from the NC hip hop scene. No, we aren't bashing NC. We are just stating what people who are not from NC have stated. To try to find out what NC may or may not be lacking .

1.No Distinctive Sound

One of the complaints that we hear from people outside of NC is that they normally hear two types of sounds from NC. Some say that a lot of NC rappers sound like Atlanta rappers. Some say that a lot of NC rappers try to sound like NY rappers. However, they neglect that NC is the melting pot of rap. There are so many rappers here, with so many differnt styles that you won't get bored at a showcase (unless they just suck). Reason being, you don't find to many people in NC that are actually from NC. However, we have seen quite a few rappers move to NY or Atlanta to further their career.

2. NO U.N.I.T.Y.

So many beef's , and for what? Just because this rapper said he/she could rap better than you? Or you just hating because they are doing better than you for the monent. Well here's the deal. Unless you squash your beef's and do good business, then it may be kind of hard to find someone outside of your makes you look confrontational and hard to approach. Also, it will affect your networking and decrease your oppurtunties. Instead of beefin and
