Message from Chair,
Board of Directors
W
E are HERE – WE are HOME – now let’s rebuild
better than ever! Those sentiments struck a chord
with all of us when we returned to our community
after the May 2016 wildfire and we quickly realized that our Health
Foundation work and the Gratitude Campaign held more meaning
than ever.
We were tremendously humbled by the outpouring of donations
received by the Foundation this past year to support health care
services, programs, and technology. Immediately after the fire,
donations came from all across the country, and most importantly,
from right here in our community. Over and over you told us, “I
wouldn’t come back until the hospital was up and running”, and
“where would we be without our health care system?’. Where indeed.
I am currently serving my second year as the Chair of the Northern
Lights Health Foundation Board of Directors and I can’t express how
proud I am to lend my time and attention to this organization. One of
our most important jobs is to make sure we have excellent leadership
at the organization level and I am pleased that Cindy Amerongen
joined the team as Executive Director last year. It’s been a busy year
and we are happy to share the results with you.
