WAO 2013 - team England

Alice Moodie

This year you will be a part of the English team at the World Agility Open . This will be your first World Agility Open , will be also your first international competition ?
Yes this will be my first international competition , although I have competed at the Open Junior Agility Championships run by Anthony Clarke where juniors from other countries competed .
Tell us a little of your debut in agility ... How did you get involved in Agility ?
My Grandma got me involved in agility . I started with her Jack Russell Terrier that was very naughty and often would go and see the nearest person eating food . The first competition I can remember , I was running in a junior class and and got told off for starting before I was told , but the let me off as I won 3rd place . I now have 2 more terriers who are typical terries and can do some very unexpected things sometimes , but thats why I love them .
What are your expectations about this event ?
From what I have heard from people that have gone in past years , the event is very friendly and good fun . That is what I would like it to be this time . As long asthe team , my dog and I have fun then I dont mind what else happens , every thing else will be a bonus .
In the 2011 you won the Shaun McAlpine Outstanding Young Person Award . how much this award has affected your career Agility ?
To be honest it hasnt really , I was very gratful to win the award and still am .
