The Sawo Show Cluster
by Paula Heikkinen-Lehkonen
T
he three-day Sawo Show cluster is held at Kuopio in
the mid-eastern part of Finland every second year.
This time there were about 3,000 dogs each day on
the first weekend of August. Some breed clubs held their
specialty shows here too, so many exhibitors from other
countries found it worthwhile to come. There are always
many exhibitors from Russia, but also Sweden and Norway,
and even as far away as Italy. The panel of judges was international, too.
Friday BIS
On the first day, the BIS judge was Espen Engh from Norway. He liked most the Lagotto Romagnolo Ch. Bazolo Dioro di Mario, owned and bred by Pena Justo and Ing-Maj
Estupinan, a Spanish-Finnish couple. This dog is already a
champion of seven countries and has loads of Winner titles,
including World Junior Winner from Helsinki WDS. He is just
waiting for his international champion title to be confirmed.
