Q: How do you keep in such good shape? Put simply, diet and exercise. I love martial arts to the extreme. In addition to teaching Olympic Taekwondo and Fight Choreography, I also train in Capoeira, Karate, Kobudo, Hapkido, and more or less anything else I can manage to squeeze into my schedule. Additionally, I also have 3 different home fitness routines that I alternate between my non- training days just to keep general strength up. (A few of which you can see on my youtube channel). Beyond that however, as any personal trainer will tell ya, having a beautiful body is 70% diet and actually only 30% exercise. As such, I usually start off the day with oatmeal with honey, and then for lunch have sweet potatoes (an excellent complex carb that your body doesn’t need a lot of to run well on), chicken breast, and some veggies. For snacks, I have fruit and/or nuts. (Almonds are best, but oftentimes cashews as well). Every once in a while, I have a cheat day or a cheat meal, and just eat or drink whatever I want... but usually only if I am exercising that day and/or I have been strict on my other meals. Then it’s easy to do guilt-free while still maintaining a hard body. Q: Which celebrity do you think has the best taste in fashion? This is an interesting question for me, because for myself, I don’t particularly follow celebrity fashion. Partially just because out here in Tokyo, the only way I keep track of western celebrities is just by what movies they are in that come out here. As for Japanese celebrities, as aforementioned, I don’t necessarily fit into the whole metro-male thing, so I don’t particularly follow male Japanese celebrity fashion either. One exception however is an entertainer named Gackt. On Japanese variety shows that test people on their knowledge of fashion sense, etiquette, fine foods, etc he usually out performs everyone else, so even if my own style is different, I always keep an eye on his perspective or opinions on things.
