Hello and welcome to the 8th issue of "DivKid's Month of Modular", I hope everyone's well and had a good month. I've been ill (boo poor me) which has seriously slowed down a lot of work this month. Annoyingly so. So apologies to anyone that's noticed a slightly slower stream of content from me. Still cool things have happened and there's lots of good stuff going around the web at the moment worth sharing so check the things out in the magazine and let me know if you have any questions. Underlined text is a link so click away.
Each month I like to highlight a particular
module I've been having loads of fun with
that maybe doesn't get the recognition it
deserves. For me that module at the
moment is Branches from Mutable
Instruments. It's a boolean logic module
based on the idea of a "coin toss". Click
HERE for a video from me and click HERE to head to the Mutable Instruments site to check it out.
Lots of cool stuff this month and loads to cover! First up here's a great video from London Modular with a documentary video around the modular scene at Bloc Weekender. Click HERE for the video or hit play and watch out for Steve Davis!
Next up is a video from Source
Distribution who have been to
see Adrain Utley from Portishead
to talk about the Eventide Space.
It's another great video with lots
of gear on show that I think a
lot of us are always keen to
watch. Click HERE or click play
on the video here in the
magazine.
Do you ever ask yourself "is the
loudness war really over?" …
Thought not but for those
interested in mastering and the
general topic of the 'loudness
war' and also digital platforms
for music and normalised level
playback this could be a good
one for you.
