DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #20 | Page 5

So the joke was on us, he's making the General CV and completely opposite to what you may think it sounded killer! Os has developed a such a fast connection with the sound chip that when triggered at audio rate you can get some amazing tearing wavetable style sample scanning. Os wants the module to be an interesting new sound source (thought of as a VCO) that you can manipulate and bend and twist. Listening to it I'm sure it will be a solid sound source to bend and twist in many systems. Video from Superbooth is HERE.

As all the videos are finished and the event now feels long gone I'll end by saying that the event was amazing. I'm sure most attendees leave with a warm fuzzy feeling that lasts for a week or two post Berlin haze. It's amazing to meet all the people I work with for videos and meet people that are really getting a lot from the videos and learning about not only modules but synthesis itself from the things I'm doing. Which is ace! The downside (and it's a good downside as I don't want to see it all in one day and be done) is that it's so big I missed some people I do know and didn't have that much chance to meet new people that I'd have loved to speak to. With that in mind I'd encourage modular users and companies to get in touch as you may have guess I loved chatting about all this stuff!

Now onto some news that's not Superbooth related. Alright Devices have released a new analogue bit crushers and downsampler module called T-Wrex. The graphics (done by Hannes / Papernoise) are stunning as usual, such a strong visual identity that's playful and eye catching demands my attention but does it deliver in the sonic department? Well there's a video direct from them HERE. There's conversation about how an analogue bit crusher works in the Muff Wiggler thread HERE if you'd like to check it out.
