DivKid's Month Of Modular Issue #10 July 2016 | Page 2

As always this month's issue seems to have come around really fast. Time is flying by, we're getting older, more worn out and our brains slowly turning to mush! ... Heavy stuff out of the way let's chat synths! HAHA. A new company and module has surfaced there's other new modules and others in the testing phase. I guess that's nothing new, there's always new stuff at various stages ... so let's get into it. If you're reading this online through Joomag (the phone/tablet app is the best way to view it) everything underlined is a link. If you've grabbed the PDF direct from me it's unfortunately not interactive in anyway.

Each month I like to list a "module of the month" that's not the new hyped up sexy multi-function beast but just something I've been using a lot (even if it is a sexy multi-function beast!) that deserves another mention. For me this month it's the Abstract Data Octocontroller that just keeps proving itself to be incredibly useful. Whether it's a huge bank of random modulation, triggers and rhythm generation in my drum mix or a mix of everything throughout the system. The recent updates has taken it even further with simpler integration with other gear. Check out my videos HERE.

As usual I like sharing a few "things from around the web" that are not always of much relevance (although usually are) to modular. To kick that off here's a video from "Peaks" on YouTube who has a stunning night time city view as the backdrop for his patch. Click HERE for the video or hit play.

Not much to share with this one but Attack

Magazine spoke to Gui Borrato and got a great

set of studio pics. Click HERE for the article.

Here's a video from Telekom Electronic Beats

from Berlin. They spoke to Daniel Miller from Mute Records. Click HERE for that.

Always happy to chat

anything going on in and

around the scene.
