Don Davis Award Nominations

Know someone in public service committed
to the construction industry who stands out
from the crowd and stays above the fray?
NUCA of Florida is now accepting nominations
for recipients of the Don Davis Excellence in
Public Service Award. Every year a construction
industry advocate, whose integrity, leadership,
dedication and commitment to the construction
industry which matches the values of our
organization is presented with the “Don
Davis Excellence in Public Service Award.”
The award was created by NUCA of North
Florida to honor Representative Don Davis of
Jacksonville and has since become a statewide
award for notable candidates. Most recently,
Representative Charles McBurney received the
award in 2015. Please submit via email your
nominations for the Don Davis Award no later
than May 20th to NUCA of Florida at Khebrank@

NEW CILB APPOINTEE
WILLIAM "BRIAN" CATHEY has been reappointed by Gov. Rick
Scott to the Construction Industry Licensing Board. Cathey,
of Port St. Joe, is a general contractor and president of Cathey
Construction and Development.
