JOHN SAVAGE Q&A
Can you briefly tell us about your
professional background?
SAVAGE: My professional
background started with an
engineering firm performing
materials testing, this grew into a
construction manager position for
AT&T building cell sites throughout
Florida. I came back to the
engineering industry as a Quality
Control Manager for a consulting
firm and 6 years ago joined the Ajax
Paving family as a Quality Control
Manager. I currently share roles as

Ajax’s Construction QC Manager
and Design Build Project Manager.
Why you are in the underground
utility business and how did you
get started?
SAVAGE: In my QC roles, I work
closely with our underground
teams to ensure compliance
of our underground facility
installations. Driven by the hard
