We as a group hope that through the articles and visuals provided in this magazine, we have adequately outlined the burden that different forms of social media weigh on the shoulders of both women and men everywhere. It is because of these forms of media that we have began to associate our body shapes with fruit and food (pear-shape, muffin-top, apple-shape). It is because of these forms of media that we are all striving to attain a figure or look that is not only made to be unachievable but also leaves us perpetually unsatisfied with ourselves. It is because of these forms of media that we, as a society, have lost sight of the importance of self-love after all, self-love is where the true power lies. We hope that by shedding light on all the tricks advertisers and big industries use when they portray women, we can show everyone that it is time to rid ourselves of this unrealistic standard and make acceptance of everyone, regardless of size, color, height, etc. the norm. Remember, you are more beautiful than you think. Sincerely, Team 12
