To this end we must see that a wilderness experience is designed to increase our worship, for any time spent with God should make us want to know Him better, serve Him more and in the end it should increase our praise and gratitude. But this experience is intended by God to also lessen our worries. The end result of being tested by God and taught by the Holy Spirit is an increased faith in the power and promises of God. It is intended to take you into a place of comfort, confidence and contentment about the power and presence of God.

Each one of us should long to be in a place with God where His hand is distinctively seen and His presence significantly felt. Unfortunately, we will not enter this place with God on our own; we must be led or drawn there by Him. But let us be mindful that we are in this place on purpose…for purpose – that God might prepare us through love and discipline for the greater work He has designed for our lives as well as the promises that He has created for us to enjoy. We will make the most of this time when we submit ourselves wholly to the purpose that God has for us while we are there.

"Every Christian will encounter a wilderness experience at some point in their sojourn with God and it will be imperative that they accept and acquiesce to the plan and purpose that God has designed for it. "
