and I had no choice but to move and step out with courage. I started the business/ministry Your Own Uniqueness, Inc and shortly after I wrote my first book, I Miss the Hugs, But Not the Hurts. Several years later, I published my second book and now to date, I have four published books, a television show, The Dr. Tunishai Ford Show, and an on line magazine that you are presently reading now.
Do I feel lucky? No, I feel blessed, more blessed than I can express. I am content in my singleness; I have the best friends in the world, although they are very few. I have a wonderful son and grandchildren, and possess the best team in the world who I can count on to help me complete my goals; each of them bringing their own unique gifts, abilities and talents. Yes, I am truly blessed. I am thankful everyday for the opportunity to say good morning to God and thank Him for the possessions He has entrusted me with. I am thankful for my health and strength and being in my right mind. I am thankful for just being alive! Every day I live just brings me closer and closer to my goal and fulfillment of my purpose.
I have shared all of this with you to convey that dreams come with a price to pay, but you are not alone in its pursuit. Each accomplishment in my life was first a dream and I took the necessary steps and made plans to see that it came to fruition. The launching of Discovering You Magazine is no different. It was a dream that was rolling around in my head and submerged in my heart for many years just waiting for the perfect time to be released. Now the publication is here and you are reading the first edition of my dream. My vision is to put out an on-line publication that will showcase the lives of ordinary people who achieve extra ordinary accomplishments. To allow our subscribers to read and ingest articles that will educatie, inspire, motivate and
transform their lives. Articles that would touch the human spirit, challenge the mind and provoke change for the better in one’s lifestyle.
