DON’T GIVE IT AWAY
Having control over what belongs to you is a God given authority. In the book of Genesis 2:15 states that the Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and to keep it. Therefore, we must understand that in order to keep something, we must take full possession of it. What we possess, we take ownership of it. The one thing that I'm concerned with is the lack of interest that we have in what God has given us. God took His amazing ability and His precious time to create and speak into existence everything that He thought we needed to keep us fulfilled and happy. His desire is that our joy would be full in Him (St. John 16: 24). But we haven't yet realized that everything comes from God and that we ought to be grateful enough to be thankful for what we have. The bible says give thanks for all things (I Thessalonians 5: 18). When I think about how the Lord has blessed me, oh my God. He loved me enough to take care of me and keep me because His father gave me to Him.
To be a steward, you must count the cost. You cannot waste goods and products. That is what many of us are doing with our lives. I stood guilty of the charge until I learned better. We are given good health, good minds, good relationships, great jobs and wonderful families and friends, yet we misuse and abuse ourselves, everything and everybody. It amazes me how some of our children can take complete advantage of us as their parents not even being concerned with keeping a good open and healthy relationship.
