arms around us. The house is a few footsteps lighter and we sometimes start to feel their presence missing. It is in those times that we seem to be at our weakest, where it is actually the possibility of our strongest moment. In that time, reflecting on God is what our hearts need and what God wants… for us to lean on Him, allowing Him to give us the fulfillment of comfort. The second that we feel “that” presence missing, is exactly when God wants to come in.

We don’t even have to be extremely biblical or religious to allow God in. Allowing God in comes with happiness, laughter, graciousness, and faith; this is exactly what Galatians 5:22-25 teaches us all. It shows that no matter how far or close you think you are with God, it is the embodiment of those qualities that extends the ladder of oneness with The Lord. As the scripture says, “if we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit.” As hard as it is, or as hard as it seems, we can take that same measure of pain and reciprocate it; it would be like a frown easily turning into a smile. The more we allow God’s light to rise above the darkness of our hurt and pain, the smaller that feeling of emptiness becomes every time. Eventually, it’ll become so small that it won’t even hurt as much, and when we think of them or reflect, it’ll be smiles and tears of joy.

The Holiday season is a very joyous occasion for most of the world, and while so many of us are out attempting to make this holiday better than last holiday, someone just simply needs to be reminded of the joy that God brings. Someone needs to be reminded of His light at such a dark and cold time. The world is already a mysteriously cruel place where we wrestle not with flesh and

blood, but also spirits we cannot see.

Allow the Fruit of the Spirit to fight against the spirits that we cannot see. Your smile may heal the next broken heart, your nice gesture may save lives, having a soothing spirit is able to calm any beast. I once heard someone say, what if the key to life is that, we actually need one another? We do so much living and trying to be as close to perfect as we can, thinking that all we need are ourselves and The Lord. The love of The Lord comes with loving your brother and turning the other cheek. In this season, in order to help decrease the rate of heartache, mass killing, suicide, and depression we must all love and forgive without hesitation. Life is such a precious gift and too great of a responsibility to not handle with care. No life is less than the other, by race, religion, color, or creed. As 2017 ends, we have seen hundreds of lives lost for no reason. Now live for those lives lost and forgive for those hearts that are now with God. ‘Tis the Fruits of the Spirit that guides us to learning how to love one another and the key of understanding just how much we each need one another.

Be Blessed and (Be)a(u)tiful. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to you and your families. I pray that we can use this as motivation to love one another so much, that the next massacre we can love away before it transpires…

Until the next time,

Apostle Connie
