Ludington State Park

Here is a very popular park which is south of the last attraction, which is Stearns Park. This park is a focal point in Ludington, where so many people gather for several activities. This is the city’s largest beach, with 2,500 feet of sandy shoreline and plenty of FREE parking. There you can swim, build a sandcastle, and enjoy the view of North Breakwater Light, which is a lighthouse. Concession stands with snacks and beverages are onsite.

Ludington Waterfront Park is another popular park, which is south of the last park. There is the best viewing area of the car ferry boat. There at this pet-friendly park, they have picnic tables, a playground for the kids, park benches, an amphitheater for summer concerts, and great scenery. This is located in between 2 marinas with nearby shops and restaurants.

There is an interesting museum and that is the Port of Ludington Maritime Museum. The Port of Ludington Maritime Museum in downtown Ludington brings history to life with digital storytelling, authentic images, and artifacts, and engaging interactive exhibits that entertain, enlighten, and inspire a deeper appreciation for the region’s maritime history.

The first attraction is Ludington State Park. The park is home to 3 campgrounds, sandy beaches, scenic dunes, an iconic lighthouse, wetlands, marshlands, and forests. The park is situated between Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan with several miles of beautiful shoreline along both lakes. The park also offers wildlife viewing from its extensive trail system. Ludington State Park offers many great attractions, classes, hikes, and interpretive programs year-round. Visitors can learn about the dunes, the Great Lakes, the history of Big Sable Point Lighthouse, the lumber town, and the Civilian Conservation Corps camp.
