COVER STORY

that was to LIVE! Therefore, who would have thought that I would even desire to write about my plight? For what reason? I am not famous. No one is knocking down my door, asking me to come and give my testimony. So, why am I telling you my story? Why did I feel compelled to write this book? So many other famous and well-known people in the world have experienced what I have gone through. They have also received big endorsements to tell their stories. So, who am I? These are the questions I asked God when He told me to write it.

The ordeal occurred in January of 1998, and I am just now telling my story. Oh, I tried to write it sooner, and I thought my manuscript was complete a long time ago, but I found myself having to stop because I had to add more or delete more. I had to constantly examine my motives for mentioning certain things. I had to make sure that what I said was correct to the best of my knowledge and recollection because I did not keep a journal. Remember, I was not trying to get a book out of the ordeal. Several times, God told me to stop writing because He did not want the reader to sense my bitterness. Yes, I experienced bitterness, and all I wanted to write about was my pain, but God would not let me; I had to let it go. He constantly repeated to me His profound words, “This is a comma in your life, not a period.” Although it felt like my life was over, it really was just beginning. My destiny’s path took on a completely new direction, and my life purpose became pronounced and profound. I believe that a near-death experience will do that for you.

So, why am I telling this story? Why

did I write the book? It is for the many individuals who will experience life-changing events and may feel helpless and alone. It’s for those who have a purpose and have not quite discovered it yet, and it is for those whose lives have given them nothing but lemons; I want to teach you how to make a lemon meringue pie and give everyone around you a piece of your sweet success and your recipe for overcoming your life’s greatest challenges. Yes, that is right. This book is for you!

My ordeal was dealing with a sick body, yours might be the loss of a child (God forbid), the breakdown of a marriage, financial ruin, or just living your life aimlessly, not knowing why you are here, and trust me, that can be the worst experience of them all. Whatever it is that you are presently facing or what fate may bring your way, you are an overcomer, and your world is constantly changing for the better just for you. No matter what you face, always remember one thing, “This is a comma in your life, not a period.” It is just a moment in your life; it is not the end. Whatever your challenge, you can finish strong and pass the baton of hope to others along the way. God bless you!

" .... “This is a comma in your life, not a period.” It is just a moment in your life; it is not

the end."
