Spicy Rice & Beef Pasties

INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGH:

* 4 cups of All Purpose Flour

* 3 tbsp of Baking Powder

* 1 tbsp of Salt

^ 1 cup of Canola oil or Butter

* 4 eggs

* 1/3 cup of evaporated milk

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

1. Mix all the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.

2. Add all the wet ingredients together in a 2 cup measuring cup. The wet ingredients should not exceed 2 cups. Mix well then add to the dry ingredients.

3. Mix until all the dry and wet ingredients are well blending creating a dough.

4. Knead the dough until it is no longer sticky. Then pinch off making dough balls.

5. In a skillet, brown the ground beef, then add the Simply Good Grains rice. Mix and stir until both are hot. Then drain oils.

6. Add the grated cheese and stir into the mixture.

7. Take a dough ball and with a rolling pin roll until it is thin.

8. Scoop the beef mixture onto the dough and fold it until it is closed.

9. Place the folded side down on the cookie sheet. Continue until you have prepared all your pasties.

10. Bake until the pasties are a light golden brown.

This recipe should make 12 to 16 pasties.

INGREDIENTS FOR BEEF FILLING:

* 1 lb of ground beef

* 2 cups of Simply Good Grains rice mixture

(GFS product)

* 1 cup of grated Cheese
