SPIRITUALITY AND FAITH

"Psalm 46:10 says to be still and know (experience) God. The busier your life is…the harder it is to hear God through His Word."

2. Tune out the Static, Stop Rushing Around and Quiet Your Soul. Stop multi-tasking and thinking of Bible reading as just one more thing on your checklist. Quiet your soul. Be still! Psalm 46:10 says to be still and know (experience) God. The busier your life is…the harder it is to hear God through His Word.

3. Read the Channel Guide (the Bible) and Learn that God’s willingness to speak to you has no limits! The Bible describes God speaking in a ‘still small voice.’ The problem is that we have not learned how to recognize His voice from all of the other voices that bombard our hearts and minds! Culture places emphasis on money and “fitting in”, which creates NOISE in communication between you and God.

4. Use the Holy Spirit as a signal booster, to ask “God what do you think of this situation?” and listen for His answer. Make it your pursuit and desire to have God speak to you. Fellowship more with the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:27) who helps us “pray and know the will of God”. Discover greater faith, joy and deeper intimacy with God, doing what Hab. 2:1-2 says “I will stand on my guard post... I will keep watch to see ... what He will speak to me...”

III. OVERCOME THE LOW EXPECTATION MOST CHRISTIANS HAVE

REGARDING PRAYER

Many have a low expectation of God answering requests in regard to healing, finances and home issues because they are influenced by a secular culture that has to figure things out naturally before one can believe what God’s Word says. As a result many are receiving far less from God than what Isaiah 55:3 says “I will make an everlasting covenant with you according to my faithful mercies!” People refuse to give God a tithe of their income, because they think it’s a waste of their money sharing it with the only One who can multiply it! People refuse to believe God in their sickness, and trust a doctor they can talk to, more than the One who created their body in the first place. Its time to kick this limited, doubt-filled thinking out and trust God in 2017 with far more than you’re currently experiencing!
