VACATION AND TRAVEL

they know what to fix, especially if many reviews all have the same concerns. Some managers I notice will only respond to the good reviews and not the bad ones, which is a shame, because the bad ones can only make them better see what areas to improve their business for any future guests.

Lastly, if the manager doesn’t respond to the bad reviews then they may have lost a customer for life who is willing to give them a second chance, because they showed they cared by answering their customer with a written response on their part to rectify their concerns. The surveys that I don’t take too seriously are from car dealerships. They have a survey that you fill out giving them a 1 through 5 star rating, with 5 being perfect. Every time I buy a car or get service done including just an oil chance; I am told I will be receiving a survey in a few days, and to fill it out. I’m also told by the car salesman to give them a 5 star rating because if it comes back a 4 star then the sales person may forfeit some of their commission.

A survey is a way to give a company positive and negative feedback in helping them improve their business. Car dealerships use this information to promote their dealership with ads in the newspapers and TV commercials, boasting that they have a very high customer satisfaction rating. This is done to help

drive in more business, but at the same time, this is forcing the customer not to really give their honest opinion. I don’t believe everyone’s experiences across the board are 5 stars. I’m sure most people know what I’m talking about. I should be able to give my honest option and not be told how to fill out my survey.

Lastly, I was also told if I can’t give a perfect score then call the dealership so that they can find out why I’m not giving a perfect score. On one phone call, I was offered multiple free oil changes to help chance my mind, or whatever it took.

Anyway, I remember years ago I joined a survey site on the internet that paid cash for my opinions. I was off work on disability and wanted to keep my mind active. There are many companies where you can take survey after survey and be paid for it. These companies offer incentives like money or gift cards. They have many questions for you to answer but how much is your time really worth. You’ll never get rich or earn a living doing surveys! After a while, I was so burnt out doing surveys that I gave any answer just to get it over with, because some surveys were 45 minutes just to complete, and I was paid only one dollar.

The marketing firm that promote these survey are not getting the correct answers to their questions most of the time because most of the questions are closed
