MIND YOUR BIZNESS

"Comparing your abilities and skills with others will give a false sense of self. It prevents you from becoming all that you can be."

3. Fear---The opposite of faith, action, and persistence. Dwelling on what will go wrong instead of what will go right. It is a stagnation trigger to stop you from achieving and living your dreams.

4. Discouragement---The inability to continue to hope because events do not happen in the time frame in which we prefer. Staying focused is difficult when we put a time frame on something that we may have little or no control of.

5. Procrastination---Delaying an action that is necessary to realize a particular event. Procrastination is often a result of fear. Because we do not have faith, action and persistence operating, we cannot see a positive outcome.

6. Past failures---The inability to take risk in the present because of the failure of the past. Past failures should be looked at as another opportunity to succeed. Take the risk.

7. The opinion of others---The opinion and criticism of others can cause us to abandon our ideals and dreams. Looking for approval of others is a major destroyer of maximizing our potential especially if these people hold a certain influential place in our lives.

8. Distraction----One of the major principal enemies of maximizing your potential. When we allow anything and everything to hinder us from staying focused and on point, we are hindered from achieving our goals. Anything that doesn’t help our progress hinders it.

9. Fear of success---Being afraid to succeed causes people to sabotage their own achievements, thus, slowing down or aborting all together their success. This is my motto—“I may be afraid of success, but I would not have it any other way. I must succeed and that settles it for me.”

10. A wrong environment---“Bad company corrupts good character.” No matter how good your intentions may be if you associate with bad

company, it is inevitable that you will think and act as they do. You will not change them, they will change you.

11. Comparison---Comparing your abilities and skills with others will give a false sense of self. It prevents you from becoming all that you can be. It’s like looking at someone else’s paper when you are taking a test. It’s not your work, therefore it’s not you.

12. Societal pressures---Pressures from society’s standards and expectations. If the people we associate with in a particular setting make judgments based on who we are; age, race, education, etc., this may pressure you to relinquish a dream because they do not believe you can achieve it.
