Your Goals

(From January 2017 Issue)

Excerpt from "Taking Control of Your Life from the Inside Out" by Dr. Tunishai Ford

There are many areas that hinder us from moving forward and I wanted to identify many of the most prevalent ones. It is not my intention to condemn anyone, but I believe that we must identify these problems and stop living in denial before we can truly begin to move forward.

There are twelve “potential thieves,” as I would call them that I would like to identify and expound upon. These twelve “potential thieves” are the most common hindrances that prevent us from succeeding in our personal and professional lives. In order to excel, we must not allow these following hindrances to prevail any longer:

1. Immorality---Immoral behavior is a potential thief because it dictates to your moral judgment. When you deliberately allow yourself to partake of immoral behavior, it is inevitable that it will lead to destruction and failure. Participating in immoral behavior oftentimes lead to death. Example—promiscuity, adultery, addictions such as alcoholism, drugs and pornography.

"Ninety-eight percent of the problems we have in life are because we fail to “Think”. We are immature in our sense of reasoning."

2. Poor Choices---Failure to think with your mind and allowing your emotions to dictate the outcome of a situation. Many people fail to realize their potential because they spend most of their time getting out of the messes they placed themselves in. Ninety-eight percent of the problems we have in life are because we fail to “Think”. We are immature in our sense of reasoning.
