Depending on what month of the year it is, they have dinner cruises, but also daytime sightseeing cruises.

Now, in the wintertime it may be on “Fridays and Saturdays” mainly for dinner cruises, but when the weather gets better, then it’s usually practically every day. The sightseeing cruises there are every day. I’ve been on this boat twice for the dinner cruise and the live band was very good, as well as the food they serve you. The same live band was performing both times I went, which was years apart. The north part of the lake also has a sightseeing/ dinner cruise ride, which is called the “Tahoe Queen,” sternwheeler, but this article is mainly about the “South” part of the lake and all its attractions.

The 2nd place I stayed at was 4 miles west of this log cabin located on the border of “Nevada and California,” which is a hotel called “Harrah’s,”. It’s an 18-story high hotel. In this area of the lake,

you will find different casino hotels like the “Harvey Casino and Hotel, and the “Hard Rock Hotel and Casino,” to name a few. Even though I’m not much of a gambler, I liked the location of “Harrah’s” and that’s why I booked it, plus I got a great rate when I stayed there. In that area of town is where the night life is, and that place has top of the line entertainment available with concerts and shows to see.

There are different restaurants there onsite with outstanding window views of the lake below while dining at the “Forest buffet” for instance, which is on the 18th floor. There are also many upscale restaurants with fine dining in that immediate area, and all around the perimeter of this lake, some of which are right on the water.

"You will see the “1870 capitol building,” the “Nevada State Museum,” which is

the former “Carson Mint” where they

made the “Morgan Silver Dollar” between the years 1870 to 1893. This is a gem."
