a band or a singing group. Travel and enjoy the world. Babysitting grandchildren is beautiful, but you’ve been waiting on this opportunity to rediscover YOU. You are full of life, ideas and you still make great choices, just don’t forget your glasses. LOL (Laugh out loud). Keep your communication open and be honest. Don’t force your spouse or mate to become a mind reader. You are not the same person you were twenty years ago. Guess what they are changing as well and maybe they need to be real with you. So you see you can still make a difference in becoming the new YOU. Stay encouraged and always make plans to be happy.

There is an unfamiliar person each day we look in the mirror and see something different because gravity has begun to take its toll. What are we suppose to do? Let’s embrace the new us, (The Subject-YOU). First, let’s be thankful to God that we still have a body with its functions; a mind that can still produce pleasant thoughts and a heart that still loves. Accepting the new you can start with a healthy diet and doing exercises your body allows you to do. Keep positive people around you and for God’s sake enjoy your life. Maybe there is a new hairstyle you would like to try. I know for me most of my adult life, I’ve worn many hairstyles; mostly weaves and wigs because change was part of my agenda. Regardless of how long my real hair grew, I always cut it. I was inspired by my aunt who has cancer, and because of the treatments, she had to cut her hair. So I agreed after she courageously posted a picture of herself on Facebook that I would wear my hair too. I wore my hair and loved it. I feel wonderful, beautiful and empowered. Could embracing your shift in life be found in just a different hair style? It did for me.

So let’s stop thinking on how it was five years ago and open your eyes to the dawning of a new day. What about today?

I’m learning that it’s okay to feel different, look different and have a different attitude; I am still where God desires me to be. I’m more attractive than I’ve ever been. Why?
