The Enemy uses diverse tactics to divide the Church while achieving the same result to steal, kill, and destroy, however, as a community of God’s children, we need to be constantly on guard to recognize when Satan is attempting to destroy the church. Our time on this earth is brief and as believers our purpose is to make disciples throughout the nations. Therefore, we need to be committed to serving the kingdom using each day with purpose.

In recent days, I have dealt with tragedy in my community. In two different instances, young adults who were active in my community went to their eternal home. Fortunately, both of them knew Jesus as their Savior. When there is an unexpected death, I am reminded of how short life can be. Within these situations, God has reminded me the importance of practicing giving grace as I desire to serve the kingdom.

In the June issue, I briefly shared about how God has led me into the entertainment industry to be a light in the darkness and I did not know what I was getting into when I signed a contract with a talent development agency. The

agency that I have been training with has been extremely supportive; however, I was not aware of how dark that industry is before attempting to be a part of it. I was surprised how even sections of the Christian entertainment industry is corrupt. I have been tested to choose between honoring Christ through my work or accepting jobs that could advance my career as an actress, singer, and model; however, God has given me complete discernment when it comes to this new path.

In the beginning of this journey, I made contact with an individual who is influential in the entertainment industry; Christian music to be exact. I was thrilled to make this contact, but early on in this relationship, I realized that something was not quite right in this man’s spirit. He did everything that Christian music makers did. He was touring frequently, leading ministries, and active in the
