Could you elaborate on the diverse heritage the country possesses? Peru with its rich, vast and varied geography has an ancient and diverse historical background. It is known as the cradle of human civilization in South America which dates back 5000 years. Its fusion in the past 600 years with European, African and Asian migrants’ infl uences, has laid down the foundations of modern Peru as a global cultural hub that has something for everyone to enjoy. For thousands of years, indigenous Peruvians have belief in the spiritual forces of nature. From the enigmatic Nazca lines etched in the desert sand to the herbal lore of the Amazon right up until The ancient religious rituals in the Andes, Peru resounds with spiritual history. The diversity of Peru’s people and culture is refl ected in ample quantity in its artistic and cultural expressions such as its traditional dresses, songs and music, religious beliefs, handicrafts, literature, sculpture, architecture, painting, textiles, silver and gold work, and photography, to name a few. Peru has the most celebrated cuisine in the Americas which is a blend of native cuisine with Spanish, African and oriental fl avors seasoned with local fl air.
