DIGITAL UP MAGAZINE DIGITAL EFFECTS DigitalUPMagazine.com Her flirt with the latest technologies became a photo series called Love Valley. In this series, Julie poses along with android female robot ASUNA. “It was really shocking the first time I saw ASUNA. My first thought was that she was really cute, but it was a different sort of ‘cuteness’ from the love dolls you see that are designed for men. It felt innocent, somehow, and I was inspired by her innocence and decided I had to photograph her,” Julie says. It’s her artistic way of showing us the relationship we all have with technology. In the rise of so-called selfie culture, Julie recently made a step into product development by designing the “Cell*Kira,” a ring-shaped incamera light that can be used as a flash for when people take selfies. Not only does Julie create altered worlds through her photography, she is also into DJing, modeling, graphic designing, and a whole bunch of contemporary stuff.
