DIGITAL UP MAGAZINE LIGHT
Eric Pare’s work differs from traditional light painting. His models stand still for the duration of the
exposure and the final effect is clear and sharp photography. In his most recent project Little Circle (a 2015 short experimental film), Pare is mixing light-painting, bullet-time, stop-motion and
time-lapse photography techniques. The project is a collaboration between Eric Pare and contemporary dance artist Kim Henry. The shooting took place all over the world, from Iceland to Morocco and Australia. The project’s primary goal was to ’’explore and get inspired by infinite spaces: deserts,
oceans, fields and mountains, contrasting global landscapes with delicate dance movements”. Combining the light painting with contemporary dance, Little Circle can be thought of as both a visual and performing
arts project. Eric is also a keen lecturer who creates tutorials, conducts workshops, and talks
at various art conferences sharing his experiences and knowledge. →
