Mercy mission ; additionally to the responsibility to have the Image painted . Thus , prior to making her perpetual vows , she made up her mind to see Fr . Andrasz ( one of her interim Spiritual Director-Confessors ), to ask him to be dispensed from all of the interior inspirations , including the obligation to have Jesus ’ Image painted . Unfortunately , after her confession , she heard the contrary ; Fr . Andrasz counseled her to continue to heed Jesus ’ requests . He said to her :, “ I will dispense you from nothing Sister ; it is not right for you to turn away from these interior inspirations , but you must absolutely - and I say absolutely - speak about them to your Confessor ; otherwise you will go astray despite the great graces you are receiving from God ” ( Diary , # 52 ).
( Diary , # 52-55 ): Fr . Andrasz also urged Sr . Faustina to “ have a permanent Confessor or a Spiritual Director .” He also reminded her that “ if God demanded great trust from souls , she should be the first one to show this trust ” ( Diary , # 55 ). Sr . Faustina tried to accept these counsels humbly . But , she remained unsettled and unhappy ; for she really wanted to be freed from the responsibilities , which have become painful issues to her . She was also tormented on having to search for a permanent Confessor . And , even if she went to the same Confessor for some time , she may still find it difficult to bare her soul to him on the divine inspirations .
She then went directly to Jesus . She asked Him to give to someone else instead , these great graces . For she was mere dust , completely inept , did not know how to make use of these graces , and would only be squandering them . But God , who is infinitely good , assured her of visible help on earth . It happened , as the Lord promised . Sr . Faustina finally received help from Vilnius , in the person of Fr . Michael Sopocko , who would be her permanent Confessor and Spiritual Director . But , before she actually met Fr . Sopocko face-to-face , she already saw him from an interior vision , while praying in the convent chapel . And with it , an interior voice told
