Heart , they have first access to My mercy . Tell them that no soul that has called upon My mercy has been disappointed or brought to shame . I delight particularly in a soul , which has placed its trust in My goodness . Write that when they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying , I will stand between My Father and the dying person , not as the just Judge but as the merciful Savior ( Diary , # 1541 ).

( Diary , # 1452 ): At some point when the clock struck twelve , Sr . Faustina engaged in deeper recollection , while awaiting the New Year of 1938 ( she would pass away in early October of that year ). She then heard the Lord speak in her soul , “ Do not fear , My little child , you are not alone . Fight bravely , because My arm is supporting you ; fight for the salvation of souls , exhorting them to trust in My mercy , as that is your task in this life and in the life to come ” ( Diary , # 1452 ). After hearing these words , she came to understand God ’ s mercy at a greater depth , including the this truth , “ Only that soul who wants it , will be damned , for God condemns no one ” ( Diary , # 1452 )
II B . 11 Suffering : A Tangible Test of a Just Man ’ s Fidelity that Wins Him Merit 150
( Diary , # 1409 ): Sr . Faustina wrote in her Diary , “ Today the Lord Jesus is giving me awareness of Himself and of His most tender love and care for me . He is bringing me to understand deeply how everything depends on His will , and how He allows certain difficulties precisely for our merit , so that our fidelity might be clearly manifest . And through this , I have been given strength for suffering and self-denial ” ( Diary , # 1409 ).
