Sr. Faustina also wrote that, as the Father’s will was accomplished in Jesus, by being totally subject to great human suffering, and so “it will be fulfilled in us in exactly the same way” (Diary, # 1394). And suffering, may well steer a “docile” soul to the point of union with God, in His grace and in His Spirit; then, if He so wills it too, the soul may also experience His consoling peace and joy that the world could not give, amid suffering and tears of pain (Jer 31:13; Jn 16:22; Diary, # 1394; CCC 749, 1742). lx II B.8 Doing God’s Will is Better than Self-willed Fasting or Mortification (Diary, # 1023) (Diary, # 1023): One day, Sr. Faustina got oranges from a fellow Sister.
