(Diary, # 1747): When on the Cross, Jesus’ side was pierced; from His Heart flowed His “dearest possession, the Blood and Water,” the limitless wellspring of His mercy. God never meant to leave His children alone. On earth, He left behind the Blessed Sacrament, the “Sacrament of the Altar,” or His “Tabernacle of Mercy.” For Christ Himself is the infinite Floodgate of divine love and compassion, through the veiled fullness of His humanity and divinity, in this Sacrament. On earth, the Church’s Divine Liturgy or the Holy Mass commemorates in the present, for all ages, Christ’s “Paschal Mystery” or His salvific work for man, through His “life, death, and resurrection” (CCC, 1409) for the continuing good of His people. The Holy Mass commemorates, as well, the merging of the divine and the human expression of God’s work of mercy, through the “mediation” of the Church, the Bride of Christ. 101 Such is God’s supreme mercy; for from Him great graces flow to man, for all time. Thus, man has no need to fear God ever; but to draw near to Him always. As Jesus told Sr. Faustina repeatedly, His mercy is His gift that leaves out no soul, “Nothing will stop me from granting you graces. Your misery does not hinder My mercy. My daughter, write that the greater the misery of a soul, the greater its right to My mercy; [urge] all souls to trust in the unfathomable abyss of My mercy, because I want to save them all. On the Cross, the fountain of My mercy was opened wide by the lance for all souls – no one have I excluded!
