her Confession for the last time, and helped prepare her for death. 54 Later, Rev. Czaputa, the Congregation house’ Chaplain and the Sisters prayed by her deathbed, until she gave up her last breath. 55 And so, it did happen as God promised her; that she had a holy and peaceful death. : And for the faithfulness with which you accompanied Me in My sufferings and death, your own death will be a solemn one, and I will accompany you in that last hour. Beloved pearl of My Heart, I see your love so pure, purer than that of the Angels, and all the more so, because you keep fighting. I see your efforts to please Me, and they delight My Heart... For your sake, I bless the world (Diary, # 1061; March, 1937)... As you are united with Me in life, so will you be united at the moment of death (Diary, # 1552; January, 1938). Sr. Faustina’s funeral Mass was “done very beautifully” on October 7, 1938, on the First Friday of the month, and on the Feast Day Our Lady of the Rosary (Diary, xliii). The Priest- Celebrant wore white vestments; but unfortunately, no family member was present (Diary, xliii). Sr. Faustina’s body was then buried in the common grave of the Congregation’s convent cemetery, in Lagiewniki, Cracow. 56 During the process of inquiry into her venerable life, her mortal body was disinterred and relocated to a distinct tomb in the Congregation’s Our Lady of Mercy chapel, which later became a Shrine of the Divine Mercy in Lagiewniki, Cracow. 57 Sr. Faustina wrote her Diary from 1934 to 1938, in the final four years of her life (Diary, xxi).
