best of health and was under the care of a doctor. She had already arrived in the chapel when she
remembered that her doctor would not have allowed her to go outdoors in the snow. But, as she
intended, she was able to receive Holy Communion. Then, she returned to her rom uneventfully.
None of these escaped Jesus’ attention, and He told her so. It pleased Him to let her receive Holy

Communion as “an act of reparation” for the sins of others. For two days, she freely submitted
herself to the Lord, “offering everything for sinners,” accepting to bear their guilt as well as any
sufferings that God’s will permitted. She also commended the sinners to His mercy. Just like
Jesus, her Lord, she was an innocent victim soul; but she willed unreservedly to be “a living
sacrifice” or “a sacrificial Host for sinners” (Dairy, # 908). She also fully accepted the brunt of
God’s anger and punishment as meted out by His justice, and for her to absorb it all. Alone in her
room, she endured great torment in her own soul, which was to the point of “interior desolation”

she took time to spend a “Holy Hour” in profound adoration of her God.
