“in this life and in the life to come” (Diary, # 1452). 216 All, in unity with the Church’s
“communion of the saints bearing fruit for all,” with Christ the Head; in accord with God’s
saving plan for man; and ultimately, that man may “share in the communion… of the eternal
love of the Trinity” (CCC, 961-962,850).
(17.4) The Conversion of Sinners: “Prayer most Pleasing…always Heard by God” 217
(Diary, # 1397): The Lord Jesus told Sr. Faustina, “The loss of each soul plunges Me into
mortal sadness. You always console Me when you pray for sinners. The prayer most pleasing to
Me is prayer for the conversion of sinners. Know, My daughter, that this prayer is always heard
and answered” (Diary, # 1397).
(Diary, # 355): Sr. Faustina offered an hour of Adoration for the conversion of sinners as
well as to atone for the insults that they perpetrated against the Lord, which greatly offended
Him. Then, as the clock struck midnight, at the last moment of the year 1934, she prayerfully
concluded it in the Name of the Blessed Trinity. She also prayerfully greeted the New Year
1935, in the Name of the Holy Trinity and asked for Their blessings to her. She looked forward
to the New Year 1935, even as she knew that she would not yet be freed from her own
sufferings. (She would pass away in early October 1938).
(17.5) On Praying for the Conversion of Hardened Sinners (Diary, # 319)
Sr. Faustina offered her prayers also for the conversion of hardened sinners. These were
souls who lost their hope in God’s mercy, did not believe in God’s love, or needed further
convincing of God’s love despite Jesus dying on the Cross for the sake of humanity. Sr. Faustina
