Materials 1 gold birdcage pendant 12 assorted gold filigree rounds (use project photo as a size guide) 3 6mm gold-plated jump rings 1 gold-plated large lobster clasp 12 gold-plated eye pins 78cm gold-plated etched oval link chain (divide into 48 and 30cm lengths) To make Gilded Cage Necklace Thread each filigree round individually onto eye pins. Trim each eye pin to approx. 1cm from each bead and then make a loop on each. Link these beads together, from smallest to largest. Use a jump ring to attach the largest end bead to the top loop of the birdcage pendant, threading on one end of the 48cm chain length, before closing this jump ring. Attach one end of the 30cm chain length to the opposite end of your bead sequence – attaching to the smallest filigree bead. Attach a jump ring to the other end of this chain, threading on the lobster clasp before closing this jump ring. Attach the remaining jump ring to the end of the 48cm chain length, this will act as the other half of your clasp.
