DBM Advertorial The Bead Show a hit! THE DOORS opened to The Spring Bead Show Sydney to a surging crowd that had been gathering since 9.30am. They pushed through the doors of the Marrickville Town Hall, which will also be home to The Bead Show in 2015 - the town hall is a grand old hall with lots of style, natural light and a lovely feel, the perfect venue for a dedicated bead show. The Bead Show had some exciting new exhibitors to this spring show, these are just a sample of what they had on display: - Etelage: vintage Czech beads, lots of larger beads in lovely rare colours - Hot Dot Designs: zebra tools, resin beads and lovely glass beads - Chiatanya Designs: A textile influence with beads ! Some kits and lots of beads. Air drying clay - Design with Beads: Lucite flowers, metal stamping, and a pretty display to go with it - Bead Shack: vintage Czech beads, polymer clay, aboriginal influenced beads. The quality of the supplies available was outstanding and customers were very happy with their purchases, with many posting photos of their stash on Facebook. The techniques covered were chain maille taught by Deb from Aussie Maille, embossing taught by Jenny from Jelly Beads of Mogo, bead weaving taught by Jo from Cranberry and foxtail weave, taught by Kay from Kay’s Articles. The Lucky prize draw winner was Anna Beresford from Sydney, who wins $500 to travel to the Melbourne show next year and $100 to spend at the show. Congratulations !
