Diecast 64's May Races

Our May races were awesome this month. The competition in all the classes is getting very good. If you're making it into the top ten then you are doing something right, because that's not an easy feat. We've had a couple of months now with the seamless track and it is working out great. I've made a few subtle adjustments in lighting and staging and filming and editing has become a bit more efficient for me while I think the end product is about as good as it's going to get. If you watch it full screen I think everybody can see their cars race pretty well.

This month was our first month that we gave out the Racer of the Month award. Points were accumulated by both cars in Modified, Stock, and the Feature Race.

Congratulations to Frank Kline from Red Pill Racing on winning the Racer Of The Month for May. Frank killed it this month getting into the finals in all three point scoring classes with both his cars making it into the finals in Open Modified.

We will continue to have the Racer of the Month award each month as well as the point series for class champions that will be awarded at the end of the racing season.

Next Month's races...

In April we will be racing all 4 classes. This month's feature race is the Red Desert Baja. A few years ago I created the Red Desert Baja course. It is a tough track with jumps, bumps, and multiple surfaces. Cars run a time trial on the course, the top 16 cars will race head to head in a single elimination bracket. A slight change from the usual is that each racer can only enter one car in the Red Desert Baja, where normally 2 cars are allowed in each race. This is because this race is a lot of video work since everyone gets their own time trial video. This is a one of a kind race on a one of a kind track that you definitely don't want to miss! Cars are due June 16th.

Include the phrase "Get a little mud on the tires" with your cars for June and the $1 entrance fee per car will be waived this month.
