The Elimination Mechanism

This is the really fun part of the track. In the first part of the race, lanes 1 and 2 are really racing each other and lanes 3 and 4 are racing each other to the first elimination. each lane has a little tab that sticks up. When the car runs over the tab, it triggers a flap in the lane next to it. The tab in lane 1 triggers the flap in lane 2. The tab in lane 2 triggers the flap in lane 1. The same thing happens for lanes 3 and 4. If the car happens to be on the flap when it is triggered it gets thrown off the track. If it is triggered before the car reaches the flap it bumps into it and cannot continue down the track.

The first car to reach the tab in lanes 1 and 2 will continue on as well as the first car to reach the tab in lanes 3 and 4. The remaining two cars race down the track to the next elimination mechanism which works in the same way, either blocking or tossing one of the cars leaving one last car to finish.

The 4 Lane Elimination Race Set is a ton of fun, whether you're a serious racer or just playing with the kids. It's pretty exciting when those cars hit the elimination flaps just right and go flying off the track. It's easy to tell who wins and is super easy for kids of all ages to use. This set is definitely a winner!
