Once you’ve decided how you want to attach the racks, use a little JB Kwik Weld or superglue to glue the racks to the truck. I think they turned out pretty good and give the truck a little more character. There is definitely lots of variations you could do here. Hopefully this tutorial gives you some ideas and how you might be able to accomplish the look you want.
