Next we will glue the rails to the posts of the racks. Use a good wood glue for this.

I left the cut edges a bit rough because I wanted that old, rough look, but you could do some fine sanding to clean them up and make them look a little sharper if you wanted to.

I decided to stain them. I decided a dark walnut would give it just the right color to go with this rustic old truck.

You could also paint them if you had a particular color that you wanted.
