Hello, Dickinson Hall Members,
I’m writing this note in mid-September and
the weather is already beginning to
become cooler with a gentle but persistent
rain dropping outside my window. It’s hard
to believe that summer is already over. It
began so slowly and then flew by so fast
this year!
However, we have much to look forward
to here at Dickinson Hall this fall and
winter! We’re full of anticipation for our
delicious Veterans Breakfast which all are
welcome to attend to honor our veterans.
Join us too for our fantastic annual
Thanksgiving, Holiday and New Year’s
Eve parties to get into the spirit of the
festive season. Our Tree Lighting
celebration will be filled with music, bingo,
cookies and hot chocolate and has
become a cozy annual tradition that you
won’t want to miss! As usual, there are
many other classes, lectures, luncheons
and trips in this edition to keep you busy!
Thank you to all of you who returned the
recent satisfaction survey. We have been
delighted by the good response and kind,
positive feedback about the staff and
center. We’ll be sure to refer back to your
ideas and suggestions as we plan for
2020. Thanks to the Senior Resources
Commission, the Senior Citizens
Foundation and those members who
joined us at the Annual Members’ meeting
in September. It was a pleasure to see
you there, and we were happy that there
is satisfaction with all aspects of Dickinson
Hall.
Please remember that all of the Dickinson
Hall staff are here as a resource if you
need anything over the winter months.
You’ll always find a warm welcome here!
I’d like to wish you a joyous and healthy
holiday season on behalf of the Dickinson
Hall staff! We look forward to seeing you
often for the remainder of 2019 and
throughout 2020. Happy Holidays and
Happy New Year!
Jill
